     HERE IS YOUR HISTORY LESSON THIS SWIMMERS WEEK! HAVE A GOOD DAY OFF

WEEK'S NEWS:  ALL PRACTICES THIS WEEK ARE NORMAL !!!!!!

 

UPCOMING:   NOW FOR THE SEASON WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR, AND A TIME THAT I LOOK FORWARD TO WITH GREAT ANTICIPATION.  A TIME THAT WILL PRODUCE SOME EXCITING RACES AND WILL BE FILLED WITH A LOT OF HIGHS AND PROBALLY SOME LOWS, BUT THIS IS WHERE WE ARE AT RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!  IT'S TIME TO GET ON THE STARTING BLOCKS AND THROW OURSELVES AS HARD AS WE CAN AT THE WATER.  SO WE SKIP ACROSS THE TOP OF IT AND REACH THE FAR SIDE OF THE POOL IN 5 SECONDS, AND FOR THE REST OF US WHO HAVEN'T PERFECTED OUR BODY SKIPPING TECHNIQUE, WE"LL JUST HAVE TO SWIM REALLY FAST!!!!    OUR JO  SWIMMERS:

STORY FOR THE WEEK:   "THE MAN IN THE GLASS"  (NOT SURE WHO WROTE THIS)

When you get what you want in your struggle for life, and the work makes you king for a day.

Just look at the mirror and look at your self

and see what the man has to say.

For it isn't your father or mother or coach

whose judgment upon you must pass.

That the fellow whose verdict that counts most in your life.

Is the one staring back from the glass.

You may be like Jack Horner and chisel a plum

and think you're a wonderful guy.

But the man in the glass says you're only a bum

If you can't look him straight in the eye.

He's the fellow to please-never mind all the rest,

for he's there with you clear to the end.

And if you've past your most dangerous, difficult test

if the man in the glass is your friend.

You may fool all the world in the pathway of years

and get pats on the back as you pass.

But the final reward will be heartache and tears.

If you cheated the man in the glass.
